In this article, we'll cover the best practices to search for leads on LinkedIn using Kaspr.
Please note:
LinkedIn doesn't have a specific limit on how many times you can visit profiles. But it's important to browse in a natural and reasonable way. If you go overboard, you're running the risk of being flagged as a potential spam or abuse risk by LinkedIn’s algorithms.
Pace your profile visits
LinkedIn may view excessive or rapid profile visits as suspicious behaviour. Avoid visiting a large number of profiles within a short period of time. Spread out your profile visits throughout the day and maintain a reasonable pace.
Consider privacy settings
Some LinkedIn users have strict privacy settings and get notifications when their profiles are visited. Repeatedly visiting the same profile can raise concerns. Adjust your privacy settings to prevent your own visits from being visible to others.
Mix up your browsing patterns
LinkedIn pays attention to profiles that are visited in a predictable or repetitive way. Explore different types of profiles, industries, and job roles. Avoid visiting profiles in a specific order.
Use LinkedIn’s search filters
Instead of visiting profiles manually, use LinkedIn's search filters to narrow down your results. Focus on profiles that match your specific criteria. This will make your browsing more efficient and lower the risk of raising suspicion on LinkedIn.
Optimize your LinkedIn profile
Some LinkedIn users might be blocked by the platform if their account isn’t “warmed up”. Several factors can play a role, such as:
Number of contacts
Number of posts, likes and shares
Daily connections
Scroll time
Profile completeness
To boost your account, add more connections, connect via the mobile app, and make sure your profile is complete.

Kaspr sales automation features are here to make lead generation easier for you. No more manual profile-by-profile searches. With sales automation, you save precious time and effort. Hide the Kaspr Chrome Extension
To help our users avoid LinkedIn restrictions, we’ve added an option to hide the Kaspr extension when using it with LinkedIn. Here’s how to do it:
Step 1: Visit a profile on LinkedIn.
Step 2: Click on the Kaspr extension in your Chrome toolbar.
Step 3: Click on your account icon in the top right corner.
Step 4: Check the option Hide Chrome Extension
I got blocked on LinkedIn, now what?
If you've been logged out from your LinkedIn account after using the Kaspr Chrome Extension, we understand that it may be unsettling. We would like to reassure you on two main points:
LinkedIn Account Activity: LinkedIn may implement security measures when unusual activity is detected on your account. This is usually not due to our extension, but rather a sudden increase in your LinkedIn activity, which may be perceived as suspicious.
We do not violate LinkedIn's T&Cs: Our extension does not scrape LinkedIn data. We are GDPR compliant and enhance your prospecting experience by adding information from our own database. Therefore, you are not in violation of LinkedIn's terms and conditions by using our service.
LinkedIn has recently updated its policy and "anti-fraud" detection algorithm. As a result, certain behaviors may trigger this type of response. Visiting multiple profiles in a short period of time can be seen as robotic behavior by LinkedIn.
Most importantly, don't worry, you wont lose your LinkedIn account! It is best practice to wait a few hours until using the Kaspr Chrome Extension again after logging back into LinkedIn, this way your activity does not seem suspicious to the platform.

🔔 Going profile to profile and revealing contact information via the Kaspr Chrome Extension is more likely to get flagged than launching an enrichment workflow to scrape contact data in bulk. For more information on our sales automations, read here.
